    When I first saw the title of this post, I thought it was a clever pun on Popper’s world 3.

    Bryan Magee or someone wrote that when Popper first started talking about his third world he was not fully aware of all the talk about the Third World and he was advised to make a minor change in terminology and talk about World 3 instead of the third world.
